Did you know?
Did you know that Idaho has the worst provider-to-patient ratio in the entire United States? It has gotten increasingly difficult and more expensive to see a medical professional in this state. In fact, we have lost over 20% of our women’s health physicians just in the past few years.
But it’s not all bad news…
The state of Idaho is leading the nation in progressive legislation that optimizes the extensive knowledge base and skill set of pharmacists. The Board of Pharmacy allows pharmacists to write prescriptions for medications to treat any condition not requiring a diagnosis as well as conditions that can be diagnosed using point-of-care testing.
This means that appropriately-trained pharmacists can write prescriptions independent of any other healthcare provider for things like:
“Pharmacists are about to make healthcare more accessible for all patients. And I can’t wait to help.”
